WES is very keen to encourage our Youth membership and offers several incentives for Youth members. No matter what your experience, there is something for everyone.
Incentives include
Discounted Membership for Youth Riders - Youth membership will be 50% of the full membership for those members under 19 years on the 1st January each year. On reaching the age of 18 years membership will be automatically extended to the expiry of their current membership year, from which date full membership fees will apply. Youth membership is £17.50 per year for riders aged 10-19yrs.
Free Membership to Little Britches for under 10’s - Little Britches (must be registered with the Society) for members 9 years or under on the 1st January, no membership fees apply.
Discounted Clinics for Youth Riders - Our Youth members are able to benefit from an incentive scheme in the form of a clinic subsidy whereby youth members can reclaim part of their clinic fees at an approved WES clinic up to £25. This is limited to a maximum of £25 per year. This can be used for either a local or National clinic or towards the Trail Award– but is excluded from the WES three day clinic which already has a discount for Youth members. The voucher will be sent with your membership and should be returned to our Youth Officer at daniobrien1987@hotmail.com.
Subsidised places at the WES National Clinic - Our National Clinic is available to Youth Riders at a reduced rate.
The Youth Participation Award - A year end award for the Youth Member who has participated in the most WES activities. Record your points gained at clinics, shows, out hacking or joining in our treasure hunt or summer challenge etc. Prize sponsored by GK Horsemanship Equipment.
Other Incentives Include
- Activities to take part in at home: Our Easter Treasure Hunt and our 6 Week Summer Challenge.
- Fun Clinics and Camps dedicated to our Youth Riders.
- A wide variety of classes at shows for the following categories: Youth 14-18, Youth 13 and Under, Little Britches.
