WES needs you: four roles to fill
We asked for a few people to step up and help run WES. Within a day, a good number had answered.
WES only works because members step up, and it has done for over 40 years. 2026 has asked a lot of the people who keep the Society running, so we asked for help with four roles.
Where we need you
Area Rep Coordinator
Supporting the area reps who run WES on the ground.
PR and Comms Officer
Telling the WES story beyond our own circle.
Webmaster and Social Media
Looking after the website and our social channels.
Treasurer, from the 2027 AGM
Our Treasurer stands down at the AGM in March 2027, seeing out her term in full. Her successor works alongside her first.
No expertise is needed: only willingness, reliability and a bit of time.
The answer
Within barely a day, a good number of members had offered to help, more than there were roles. So rather than just fill the gaps, Council will look at how WES is organised, to give everyone who offered a real way in. A first conversation is never a commitment.
