Annual General Meeting, 14/03/2026
The Western Equestrian Society Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 14/03/2026, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
The meeting will now be held by Zoom only, as announced to all members on 03/03/2026 by our Chairman, Rob Painter.
Council elections
Under the Constitution, some Council posts fall vacant at the AGM and are elected by the membership. This year's AGM covers:
- Chair
- PR and Communications Officer
- Event Co-ordinator
- Welfare Officer
Applications for Chair were open to all voting members and closed at 23.59 on 21/02/2026, in line with Council's agreed process.
Retiring members may stand for re-election. Any voting member who wishes to stand for one of these posts should contact the Secretary at dan@wes-uk.com, in line with the Constitution.
The AGM remains the formal meeting at which members elect Council officers.
Changes to the Constitution
Several proposed changes to the Constitution are being balloted under Clause 10 (Variation). Each one is voted on separately. Voting closes at 09.00 on 14/03/2026, and the results will be announced at the AGM.
All voting members are encouraged to:
- read the AGM papers
- cast their ballot
- attend the AGM
The AGM is an important chance for members to take part in how the Society is run and where it goes next. We look forward to welcoming you on 14/03/2026.
