We are delighted to announce that Pauline Norton has been appointed as the new Chair of the WES Judges Committee.

Pauline was voted into the chair at the recent Judges Seminar, and Full Council ratified the appointment at its meeting on 10th February 2026.

Pauline brings a wealth of experience to the role. She is a Level 4 UKCC Equestrian Coach, a WES Judge and the Society's current Health and Safety Officer, and she has shown exceptional commitment to keeping and raising standards across western equestrianism in the UK.

Her understanding of both judging and coaching, with her dedication to animal welfare and safety, makes her well suited to lead the Judges Committee as we continue to develop and support our judging community.

The Judges Committee makes sure judging is consistent, fair and excellent at every WES event. We are confident the committee will continue to thrive under Pauline's leadership.

Please join us in congratulating Pauline. We look forward to working with her and the Judges Committee in the months and years ahead.
