WES Annual General Meeting – 14/03/2026
The Western Equestrian Society Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 14/03/2026 from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
The meeting will now be held by Zoom only as per the announcement made to all members on 03/03/2026 by our chairman Rob Painter
Council Elections at the 2026 AGM
In accordance with the Constitution, certain Council positions will fall vacant at the AGM and will be subject to election by the membership.
The following roles will be addressed at this year’s AGM:
- Chair
- PR & Communications Officer
- Event Co-ordinator
- Welfare Officer
The application window for the position of Chair was opened to all voting members and closed at 23.59 on 21/02/2026 in line with Council’s agreed process.
Retiring members may offer themselves for re-election. Any voting member who wishes to stand for election to any of the above roles should contact the Secretary directly at dan@wes-uk.com in accordance with the Constitution.
The AGM remains the formal forum at which members elect Council officers.
Constitutional Amendments
A number of proposed amendments to the Constitution are currently subject to ballot in accordance with Clause 10 – Variation.
Each amendment is being voted on individually. Voting closes at 09.00 on 14/03/2026 and results will be announced at the AGM.
All voting members are encouraged to:
- Review the AGM documentation
- Cast their ballot vote
- Attend the AGM either in person or via Zoom
The AGM is an important opportunity for members to engage in the governance and future direction of the Society.
