Areas and Reps

WES divides Great Britain into 13 areas, each with its own area representatives, events and Facebook group. Find your area and meet the reps who can help you.

Find your area

Put in the first part of your postcode, or open an area below. Each area covers several neighbouring counties, and it is worth looking at the areas around yours too: they often run events you will enjoy.

Members in central London are split between Areas 8 and 9, depending on where they live.

  • Your Area Representatives

    Every area has one or more Area Representatives, there to help you on your western riding journey and to reach high standards. Your area rep is your first port of call.

  • Events near you

    Every area runs clinics, trail rides, camps, social events and shows each year.

    Each area has its own Facebook group, where members share experiences, news and help.

  • Welcome everywhere

    As a WES member you are not limited to your "home" area. If you want to travel and meet new people and horses, you are welcome at any WES event across the country.

  1. Find your area

  2. Meet your team

    Every area page introduces its reps. Open yours, find out a little more about them, and say hello.

  3. Come to an event

    A clinic, a trail ride, a camp, a social or a show: see what is on, in your area and beyond.

  4. Lend a hand

    Everything WES does is run by volunteers. If you have a skill or a few hours to give, tell your area rep.

Your home area is where you are from, not where you are allowed to go. Every member can enter any WES event, anywhere.

  • Area 2: Cheshire, Clwyd, Conwy, Gwynedd, Merseyside, Shropshire, Staffordshire. over 20 members.
  • Area 3: Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire. over 30 members.
  • Area 4: Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear. over 20 members.
  • Area 5: Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire. 62 members.
  • Area 6: Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Gwent, Herefordshire, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Worcestershire. over 50 members.
  • Area 7: Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire. 52 members.
  • Area 8: Berkshire, Greater London, Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey, Sussex. over 50 members.
  • Area 9: Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk. 51 members.
  • Area 10: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands. 78 members.
  • Area 11: Borders, Central, Fife, Lothians, Tayside. over 20 members.
  • Area 12: Dumfries and Galloway, Strathclyde. over 10 members.
  • Area 13: Dorset, Hampshire. 50 members.
